Upon review of the matter, a reasonable person would conclude that accepting any contributions from Mr Sandor Samuels by you or your congregation, would amount to directly benefiting from criminality.

Such person as Sandor Samuels, who was central to one of the biggest frauds in history against homeowners, against shareholders, and against the US Treasury, should also be deemed unfit to hold office as Board Member of a synagogue, or President of Bet Tzedek - the "House of Justice". The fact that he and his like are not prosecuted, is only a reflection of the US justice system today. [v] However, it is no excuse for the Jewish community to appoint such individuals as leaders, regardless of donations that they may make.
