Honda #3478 on viewed a disturbance in the vicinity of Grace/Kenmore. Citizens on the street E V were pointing in the direction of Hector Mendoza (offender) and telling him to stop. P.O. Honda #3478 believed that a robbery I T just occurred and attempted to detain Hector Mendoza. While P.O. Honda #3478 was attempting to take Hector Mendoza A R into custody, he was ambushed by Sergio Hernandez (offender). Both offenders began to batter P.O. Honda #3478 about the R body. During the attack, P.O. Honda #3478 took out his firearm and stated several times he was the police. It was grabbed A N by one of the offenders and P.O. Honda #3478 then fired once believing he was about to be disarmed. Both offenders then T backed away and Hector Mendoza was taken into custody by P.O. Honda #3478. Beat 1967A took Sergio Hernandez into N custody. Further investigation revealed that victim had her jacket taken from inside of Wrigley Field. When she E A D attempted to get items back from offender Mendoza, he fled northbound on Kenmore Ave. Hector Mendoza also purchased I C items from inside Wrigley Field using victim credit card.
