In 2018, Doctor Who made its much anticpated return for series eleven under the stewardship of the new showrunner Chris Chibnall. Sadly though, Chibnall’s version of Doctor Who was not very good at all. Chris Chibnall’s series eleven is easily the weakest season of the show since it returned in 2005. It might be the worst series of Doctor Who ever made. Chibnall’s Doctor Who is completely lifeless. It doesn’t engage. The stories are dull and feel like the first drafts of unfinished scripts that were rushed into production. There is endless expositional dialogue as if the audience is stupid. The acting is wooden. The characters have no depth or development. The cast have no chemistry. The new villains created by Chibnall are pathetic and laughable. In series eleven, even the better episodes still feel middling, forgettable and bland. Why did it all go so wrong? Why were so many mistakes made?
