This document presents the findings of a study conducted by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on the physical, behavioral, and psychosocial effects of children's use of mobile phones and internet-enabled devices. The study utilized surveys of children, parents, and teachers as well as focus group discussions with parents and teachers to understand issues like access to technology, patterns of use, impact on behavior and well-being, role of education, and parental guidance. Key findings are presented on topics such as basic user profiles, ownership and usage trends, effects on attitudes and mental state, role of technology in education, and parental supervision. Recommendations are made to address concerns identified in the study.
