This document analyzes the energetic, ecological, and fluid-dynamic properties of a circulating fluidized bed gasifier using sugar cane bagasse as a biomass fuel. It details the methodology for sizing the gasifier, including calculating the biomass heating value, performing an energy balance, and estimating gasifier dimensions and operating parameters. The ecological efficiency of the gasifier is also evaluated using two scenarios, with and without considering the carbon cycle. The analysis provides a theoretical model for a potential prototype circulating fluidized bed gasifier using sugar cane bagasse.
