This document evaluates several Security-as-a-Service (SECaaS) measures that could increase the quality of cloud computing, including identity and access management, data loss prevention, encryption capabilities, vulnerability management, and email security. The author analyzes how implementing stronger SECaaS measures and further standardizing them could help cloud computing providers offer a safer, more secure environment for users. Specifically, the paper examines identity and access management, which verifies identities and controls access levels; data loss prevention, which protects against data leakage; encryption capabilities, which protect data using decryption and digital signatures; vulnerability management, which identifies system vulnerabilities; and email security, which safeguards email services.
