This document evaluates procurement processes and operational performance in Ghana's public sector, using Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and Kumasi Polytechnic as case studies. It reviews literature on defining procurement processes and their stages. The study aimed to determine if public sector processes help performance, challenges with the processes, and the relationship between processes and performance. It obtained information through questionnaires and interviews. The results showed processes play a role in performance but are challenging. Recommendations included reviewing Ghana's rigid procurement law and adopting e-procurement.
