This document summarizes a research study that investigated the impact of instructional aids on students' academic performance in physics in secondary schools in Abuja, Nigeria. The study surveyed 60 physics students and 15 teachers across 3 secondary schools. Results showed that physics teachers were using instructional aids, students who were taught with aids performed significantly better, and some instructional materials were in short supply. The researchers recommended that the government develop policies to improve availability, distribution, and maintenance of instructional aids in secondary schools to support academic achievement in physics.
