This document summarizes a research article about applying information systems to improve the supply chain management of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Bangladesh. The study analyzes how information flows between LPG suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, dealers/retailers, and customers. It finds that implementing information systems across the entire LPG supply chain can help integrate relationships with suppliers, improve internal supply chain management, and better manage customer relationships. The research utilized interviews with 152 professionals from LPG companies to understand current practices and gaps. It recommends techniques for developing information systems to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the LPG supply chain in Bangladesh.
