This document discusses gender differences in intelligence and learning styles based on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. It provides an overview of Gardner's eight intelligences and implications for teaching strategies that develop each intelligence. The document also describes the VARK learning model which categorizes learning styles as visual, auditory, reading/writing, or kinesthetic. Interviews with 4 male and 4 female undergraduate students found that females preferred visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles while males preferred auditory styles. The results indicate students with different intelligences and genders learn in different ways and teachers should identify and employ various strategies to maximize all students' learning.
