This document is a research project submitted by Kuria Catherine Wangu in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi. The research investigates the use of social media as a source of agricultural information by smallholder farmers in Lower Kabete, Kiambu County, Kenya. The study aims to understand farmers' information needs, information seeking behaviors, accessibility and utilization of agricultural information from social media, and challenges in accessing information from social media. The research employs descriptive surveys, interviews, and a focus group to collect both qualitative and quantitative data from farmers in the study area.
