The book is well organized and focusing on a war that has had and is continuing to have ample field for discussion in Europe, even as US focus has shifted to the Iraq post-war field. The author has the benefit beyond having the education background in political science from both Western and Eastern Europe, to have also lived in both regions during the Kosovo conflict and thus the ability to add the flavour of hands-on knowledge - not only about what the media said about the conflict, but also what the media kept silent about. Therefore, this book adds depth to the research on the subject and in my opinion is a needed read for comprehending the subject of media and politics interaction, especially in the extreme field of war and in a society where impressions created with the skill of authoritative media behind them and backed by geopolitics has the strength to overshadow truths.
