If you take a close look you will find that this work of fiction closely mirrors today's economic conditions. The main character "John" has a series of conversations with a former client and "his mentor" in the book, these conversations, while not completely word for word, have occurred in my real life.Second, I want to thank everyone that encouraged me during the two months it took to compose this novel.  When I first sat down, staring at a blank Word document.  I wondered if I could write a full novel.  After the first day, 5,000 words had appeared on the screen.  I set a goal of 75,000 words that night, but actually wrote more than 82,000 found in this book.Finally, I also want to thank everyone that has taken the time to download and read this book! This is the first book in a series of books that I will be writing.  The Awakening will lead up to the "Oh Sh!t" moment. Book 2 - will move the story line forward on how John and his family, along with his group struggle to survive.
