The Process Control module teaches fundamentals of multivariable process control with an emphasis on decentralized control. Students will learn mathematical models of processes, control structures, tuning of decentralized controllers, and control implementation issues. They will apply these methods to single and multi-unit process control and use MATLAB for computer-aided control system design. The module includes lectures, exercises, case studies, and plantwide control concepts.
