This document discusses a study that examines the impact of barriers and benefits of e-procurement systems on the decision to adopt e-procurement. The researchers conducted an empirical analysis of a retail chain in Turkey that operates in the book and stationery sector. They applied Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) to identify relationships between key barriers and benefits. Their results found that inadequate IT infrastructure of suppliers was the most important barrier, while integrated information sharing was the most significant benefit.
