This study examines the influence of personality traits on social entrepreneurship start-up intentions. Specifically, it analyzes how the Big Five personality traits (openness, agreeableness, neuroticism, conscientiousness) relate to dimensions of social entrepreneurship like sustainability, vision, networking and financial returns. The study develops valid and reliable scales to measure these constructs and uses regression analysis to test hypotheses. Key findings are that agreeableness positively influences all dimensions of social entrepreneurship, while openness positively influences social vision, innovation and financial returns. The implications for business education are discussed.
